The piece consists of an economic central laminated bent wood element tenon-jointed at the ends and supported by a frame of solid straight elements of round section. The doubled leg elements utilise complex hidden ‘loose tongued’ joints. The elegantly curved seat and back supports show a compelling application of woven plastic-coated stainless steel. This is a technique which Ingham pioneered, in part, in response to the heat of the Australian climate.
