Ever wondered what you might find if you had an archaeological dig in your backyard?
Hear what Steve Brown found when he did just that. From the numerous objects, including a miniature gnome, an airline teaspoon, medicine bottles, and toy handcuffs, Steve explored the history of his property and local area. He learned about people who had lived there previously and how past lives were lived.
The thousands of objects were collected during Steve's backyard archaeology project, and many from proper archaeological digs are on display at CMAG in the Backyard Archaeology exhibition.
Steve will be joined by archaeologist and artist UK Frederick whose art work is also on display.

Backyard Archaeology tells the story of thousands of small objects that Steve Brown collected from around an ordinary suburban house and garden.
The Symposium will appeal to people interested in family history research and creating place history narratives.
