Architect and designer Derek Wrigley will be in conversation with Roger Benjamin, Professor of Art History, University of Sydney, discussing works in the exhibition, Total Design: Derek Wrigley and the ANU Design Studio.
Derek led the ANU Design Unit from 1962 and his approach considered all aspects of design from the bike racks to the chairs to the way the campus connected to the city of Canberra. Roger’s father, Bruce Benjamin, commissioned Derek Wrigley to make a record player cabinet for his iconic round house in Red Hill designed by Alex Jelinik. This object is on display in the exhibition.
